Hillside Lodge is nestled in the village of Rostrevor, with restaurants, pubs, Kilbroney Park & the beach all within a 1 minute stroll from the front door. The lodge is a warm enticing space with a wood burning stove & spiral staircase to the bedrooms. A large garden lies to the front of the lodge great for children to play football or basketball. The Swallow's return treehouse is seven foot up between sycamore trees to the rear of our home & has one flight of stairs. The treehouse is fully insulated & heated for all year comfort. The open plan bedroom has a double bed and a bunk bed which sleeps five close friends or two adults with three young children, The kitchen - dining area is fully equipped and is open planned. The sitting room has a wonderful view across countryside to the Irish sea and on to the Dublin - Wicklow mountains.

A home away from home, in the grounds of our family holiday home, the house is just 300m away from the entrance of Tollymore Forest Park. Unwind in the hot tub soaking in the dramatic view of the Mourne Mountains. Inside, relax in front of a cosy wood burning stove. Lively Newcastle town, with its many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants is less than 5 minutes drive away. Other attractions close by are Murlough Beach, Castlewellan forest Park & many walking, hiking & cycling trails.

The Hobbit House - Unique Quirky Grass Roof House

The Hobbit House is set within an orchard along side 3 yurts. Its grass roof and quirky round door entrance are reminiscent of The Hobbit. The Hobbit House sleeps up to 6. There are two handcrafted King size beds (which can also sleep as four singles) for a friends getaway. It also sleeps two singles, so is perfect for large families. A travel cot can also be provided on request. Private dry composting toilet and hot outdoor shower for those staying in The Hobbit House.
