It is situated in a peaceful setting in Kilberry in the district of Knapdale which is classed as a National Scenic Area of Scotland, due to its exceptional scenery and to ensure its protection from inappropriate development.

Tarsuinn cottage is in an elevated location with spectacular views over the Shiskine valley surrounded by farmland. There is a small fenced garden to the side of the cottage with a bench in a very sunny spot. To the rear there is a farmyard belonging to the neighbouring farm, which is mostly a sheep farm and not too busy. Just a 5 minutes long walk away you can find the Bellevue farm and enjoy a guided tour and lots of animals, even Alpacas.
