This standalone home, built in 1937, has been completely renovated on the inside — combining modern amenities and elegance and kid-friendly amenities on the inside while maintaining the charm of this historic neighborhood. The whole house and yard will be yours. You'll also get 2 parking spaces, one space in the back, one on the street in front of the house, by using our visitors pass, additional free 24 hr parking is available 1 block away. The house includes the main floor with an open floor plan kitchen, dining area and spacious living room/play area. the second floor with 3 bedrooms and two full bathrooms, and the basement which boasts all the amenities of a complete apartment with a full bathroom, common space with comfy pullout sofa and separate bedroom. Restaurants, shops, and grocery stores are a short walk or drive away. Downtown Silver Spring is an 10-minute drive away. Enjoy the fenced in backyard with out door dining under the pergola and a play structure for kids Our house is near two major north-south streets — 16th Street and Georgia Avenue — with buses running into the city along Georgia Avenue, 14th St. and 16th St. every few minutes. We're also a 15-minute walk to the Takoma Metro Station on the Metro's Red Line, or a 10-minute bus ride to the Georgia Ave. Metro Station on the Green and Yellow lines (with service to Reagan National Airport). D.C. is also bicycle-friendly; you'll find a map of bicycle trails in the apartment if you brought a bike, or you can rent a bicycle from a block away from our house. You'll be able to park 2 cars right at the house. On week days, additional cars will need to be parked on the next block, where street parking is open and does not require a permit.
