Woodsmoke Arts Studio: Boho country retreat

Relax and unwind in this artist-run bohemian retreat. Tucked away in the village of Preston, surrounded by orchards, you'll enjoy a peaceful 'get-away' yet be in easy reach of local amenities and Kent's stunning coastline. The studio is blissfully quiet, set back from the cottage with its own entrance under a vine-covered pergola, with access to a large garden. Your host is happy to interact as much or as little as you like, and will gladly share the best experiences the area has to offer.

Barons Granary, The Bull Pen, Iden nr Rye

Set on a working farm in Iden near Rye , The Bull Pen has been beautifully renovated and tastefully furnished, creating a relaxed and well- appointed accommodation for two guests. The Bull Pen offers an open-plan living space with well- equipped kitchen , dining space, comfortable sofa and flat screen TV. The French doors open onto a small private garden with a dining space.The bedroom has got a comfy king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and a beautiful roll -top bath.

Spacious detached modern annexe

A private independent generously sized detached annexe building within a countryside setting yet 5 mins drive to Canterbury city centre and the Uni. Accessed via secure metal gates on a long private gravel driveway situated along the route of the original 'Crab and Winkle' railway. The 1st regular steam passenger railway in the world. The property is not visible from the road. The two nearest pubs are The Hare at Blean and The Royal Oak, both situated in Blean and literally a five min drive.

The Pheasant Roost

Set in a private country estate near Ticehurst church, one double bedroom flat above the detached garage with its own front door. Lounge area with TV/DVD and private WIFI, basic cooking facilities and a further 2 single beds. 5 minutes walk from an award winning village pub (The Bell), church and shops. The perfect place to stay for a weekend break: your very own secret 15th Century cottage tucked away behind our house in a pretty courtyard garden, and an award winning breakfast too!. Downstairs is a cosy sitting room and a stylish wet room, then up the original winding staircase is the chic bedroom with a super-cosy bed with lovely bed linen and comfy hand made mattress. We have been featured in the Times and Independent and in Red magazine and shortlisted for a number of awards.

The Stables

Our one bedroom studio is the perfect retreat for two to relax and unwind.  Just a short walk from the tree lined high street of Tenterden, with it's eclectic mix of independent shops,  historic buildings and small cafes, it is also home to Kent & East Sussex's heritage steam railway. But if relaxing with your favourite glass is more your thing, then it's worth noting, that it is also in the centre of England's wine country, with our local vineyards - from Chapel Down to Gusbourne.
