The cottage is located just out of the centre of Hay opposite the beautiful St Mary's Church. It is slightly quieter here than in the heart of the town but is still only a 5 minute walk into the centre. It is very easy to access the river walks, simply taking the path to the right of the church. The cottage is full of character with wooden beams, a wood-burning stove, the original fireplace in the bedroom, wooden flooring throughout the downstairs, and a beautiful south-facing garden.

A 17th-century farm cottage at the end of a country lane shared only with the owner's house (adjacent), enjoying restful quiet with a private drive and garden giving on to stunning views of the Brecon Beacons. Located just 3 miles from the book-lover's haven of Hay-on-Wye, famous for its literary festival and easygoing charm, it is the perfect place to escape to.

Take a break and relax in a beautiful village/countryside location. The cottage, which dates back to 1650, is a short walk to the Malvern hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are public country footpaths from the front of the cottage that are a walkers paradise. Alternatively, the large private gardens are perfect for relaxing. The village has a pub, shop, doctors surgery a mobile Post office, beautiful church and 16th century village hall, all within a short walk.

On the edge of The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley, this cosy getaway is a professionally converted and exquisitely decorated annex to our main property. This conversion was completed in 2022. PLEASE NOTE... You are welcome to use the woodburner during the summer months (May - Sept inclusive) but I do not supply firewood during this period. Please bring your own supplies of firelighters, kindling and logs if you would like an inside fire during the summer.
