At Milton Cottage we aim to offer guests a cosy retreat to our croft where they can come and unwind in Glenlyon, Scotland’s longest and most beautiful glen. For hill walking, Ben Lawers and 12 munros are within a 6 mile radius. If you like fishing, salmon and trout fishing can be arranged. On request, we offer a Scottish breakfast with local jam and fresh bread. For supper we can offer game, fish or vegetarian dishes, using local produce where possible. The cottage has WIFI and and Alexa.

Open all year. Argyll Retreat is a cosy timber cabin located in the Argyll Forest Park and Loch Lomond and Trossachs Natiomal Park. It is owned and managed by myself. The lodge is layed out for a couple or solo travellers and pets are very welcome and stay at no extra charge. There are many activities in the area for the outdoor enthusiast and Argyll is steeped in history and has miles of coastline, lochs, forests and mountains. The lodge is also a great place to relax. Tobar nan Iasgair, Isle of Lismore, Oban, Scotland

“Tobar nan Iasgair” means “Well of the fisherman”, for centuries, fishing boats would anchor here to fill up with fresh water. It’s a spacious family home, there's a huge sitting / dining room with wonderful views across Loch Linnhie, Benderloch, Ben Cruachan, and to the ferry terminal, and Island's, comings and goings. The Bolthole is an artist designed cabin with utterly spellbinding views down Loch Awe. It is an off grid, furnished and very cosy cabin which sleeps 2 in a double bed. Relax by the woodburning stove, boil a cup of tea in the whistling kettle while you watch the birds, or walk 80m to the loch to wild swim, fish, read in one of the hammocks or have a barbecue. Lie out on dark evenings to watch the stars, enjoy the silence and escape from the demands of the modern world..

Cabin in the Wild

We built the cabin to a high specification, it is in the middle of the forest with incredible views down to the loch, a burn running close to the front door and all the hill walking and wildlife around you that you would expect in Scotland. The cabin has 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open plan kitchen, living/dining room. Perfect for nature lovers, hillwalkers and anyone looking for a space to decompress and disconnect for a while.

The Bothy is a self-contained wooden cabin on the edge of our own woodland at West Cottage and Stables, nestling in the heart of Glen Lyon and at the beginning of many excellent walks and cycle rides. There's a double bed, extra bed, luxury bathroom, and wood burning stove. There's a hob, fridge, and everything you need to cook with, but no oven. We can put something in the oven for you up at the house if you need us to.

Hill View Pod , Ballachulish

Welcome to our compact and cosy pod situated in the centre of Ballachulish village, close to the River Laroch, with views of Loch Leven, Beinn Bhann and Sgorr Dhearg, an ideal base for hill-walking . It is ideally located for visiting the historic slate quarry, golf course, grocery store and bar/restaurant which are just a short walk away. It is one mile from Glencoe Village with Fort William nearby.
