Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. Located in the heart of New Buffalo and walking distance to everything, this recently remodeled cottage is the perfect place for an escape. With an open kitchen/porch concept, leading out to a massive natural wood deck, your entry to a huge fenced in corner lot, there is no shortage of space for any summer activity or just to get back to a quieter, more relaxing pace. In winter months New Buffalo is just as charming with fewer visitors and plenty of opportunities to explore the area. CR23-0048

Bonus is the four-season room where you can have all your meals or enjoy your morning coffee surrounded by nature, but without the fear of bugs. House of Zen: Peaceful Modern Cabin on Tryon Farm

The House of Zen is an architect designed home situated in the woods, part of a sustainable farm community on 170 acres. Only an hour drive from Chicago, and close to Indiana Dunes National Park, it is the ultimate escape. The perfect getaway for couples, creatives and nature lovers who want some peace, quiet and space. Explore the farm trails & enjoy the wildlife and soothing sounds. Note: We have a 3 night minimum stay during summer, but open up 2 night stays 1-2 weeks before if possible.

The Birdhouse – quiet luxury, walk everywhere

The Birdhouse is on a quiet wooded ravine steps from restaurants, shopping and a lovely 0.7 mile walk to the beach. This home hosts 4 guests only, including infants. Enjoy a screened-in porch with views to the woods, an outdoor eating area with grill, lovely terrace with firepit and laundry room. Bedrooms are cozy and comfortable. The bathroom features a luxurious rain shower with hand shower for junior guests. To allow our cleaning crew time to prepare, we're unable to offer early check-ins.

Less than 1 mile from the beach & Amtrak station, 5 min to Union Pier, 15 min to Michigan City, 40 min to South Bend, 75 min from Chicago. Stay and enjoy Harbor Country in style!

Back home enjoy a relaxing hot tub (available year round), wood burning fire place, spacious screened in porch & outdoor fire pit.

The Peach by the Beach is a one-bedroom private apartment that sleeps two people. It's a two-minute walk to downtown New Buffalo and a ten-minute walk to the beach! This chic apartment is close to the beach, restaurants, shopping, and all kinds of fun! This location is perfect for couples, singles, and business travelers. It is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life. This location includes free wifi, coffee and tea, beach towels and chairs, and a full-service kitchen.

The little house is located within a 170-acre modern farm community filled with open meadows, woods and dunes. Minutes to beach, 1 hour to Chicago. Relax and enjoy the property or head out to explore the lakeshore, wineries, and great area restaurants! Two bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a fully appointed kitchen, living area w/fireplace, and a large screened in porch. Large windows flood the house with natural light and will make you feel like you're living in the treetops. A perfect getaway!

"Tiny House" Guest House - No Cleaning Fee

"Tiny House" guest house located under large oak trees near the beach, and not far from I-94 and the Michigan state line. Vaulted ceiling, open feeling. Light and bright décor. Full bathroom, comfy couch, and other amenities. Polished concrete floor, whitewashed shiplap ceiling, hand-crafted oak furniture, suspended shelving. High ceilings, windows with southern exposure, front porch with siting chairs and a grill. Convenient charger for electric cars. Never a cleaning fee.

This getaway is Located Downtown NB in the central business district with plenty of parking. It’s One street over from the main strip and within walking distance to the beach and marina, Amtrak. Private screened in porch with gas fire pit! Rent bikes, boats, and kayaks - half a block away. Restaurants, breweries, bars (including The Stray Dog and Casey's), ice cream parlors ( Oink's), Barney's (grocery), and the Amtrak Downtown stop is a quick 2 block walk.
