Die Geschichte des alten Delhi, Streetfood, Basare
You will begin your journey at the ramparts of the grand Red Fort built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. As you walk, you will witness five distinct and historically significant places of worship - a jain temple, a hindu temple, a church, a gurudwara, and a mosque, all within a distance of 200 metres. While walking, the sights and sounds of Old Delhi will be interspersed with stories of mughal emperors, nautch girls, mercenary warriors, jain merchants, and british bankers, transporting you back to the heyday of Delhi as one of the most prosperous cities in the world. You will also pause and relish the vegetarian street cuisine of Old Delhi - many dishes are uniquely found in these streets and hard to find outside the walled city. Finally, you will take a rickshaw to the magnificent Jama Masjid where you will climb the minaret to end your tour with the panoramic view of the old city merging into the new. Join me on this immersive heritage experience - a treat for history and food lovers, a delight for all the five senses. This thoughtfully curated walk is a recollection of my childhood growing up in Old Delhi - its many tastes, sounds, and smells, that linger fresh in my memory.
Exploring Old Delhi like a Local - a food and culture tour
EXPERIENCE THE OLD CITY LIKE A LOCAL - FOOD TOUR AND CULTURAL IMMERSION EXPERIENCE Want to try great street food but worried about food safety and spice levels? Well, worry no more :) Namaste! I'm Prachi, a medical doctor by profession and this is my passion project - showing people around this beautiful place I call home. From the metro station, we make our way through the lanes to the Town Hall to enjoy fresh lemon soda at the shop which is one of the oldest here. Then we visit Gurudwara Sis Gang Sahib, an oasis of serenity in the middle of chaos, with soulful music. This is followed by a wild tuk tuk ride to the Jama Masjid area, one of the oldest mosques of India and a hearty meal where you can try out Mughlai delicacies made to perfection (I can recommend both spicy and non spicy foods as well as vegan options according to your diet) and the best sweets you'll find in all of Delhi. Another tuktuk ride away, we'll see the rest of Chandni Chowk, walking through a great market for Indian ethnic clothes and chockfull of history. Before gorging on street food at some secret haunts you won't find on blogs, we go to Khari Baoli, Asia's largest spice market. This experience can be customized to an extent according to your needs so if you can book as a private group if you want that! (Like we can skip the praying at temple if you prefer and engage in other activities)
Witness Spiritual Musing with a Boatman & a folk Musician
Rated 'Once In Lifetime' by all the guests. As seen on TV & socials. A series of steps leading down to water—are a common sight across India but a rare find in New Delhi! Take a boat ride with me to an ancient temple (in middle of the river) to meditate & discover India's affection with rivers & more. For thousands of years, people have used them to enter various bodies of water in order to bathe or release the ashes of loved ones. Situated near a cremation ground in a historic part of Delhi, Yamuna Ghat continues to be in use today. At dawn, the ghat is the site of a majestic gathering of hundreds of seagulls flocking to feed* Here's what we do: 1. Reach the shore & watch a majestic ceremony where we will offer flowers to the river with a traditional prayer 2. Step into a pretty private wooden boat and sail with me to watch from a distance Delhi's biggest Hindu Cemetry, scenes of the Ghats as I unveil you several stories about the river & mythology around it 3. We take a halt in the middle of the river to hop on a tiny island which has an ancient temple. Get introduced to a meditation technique & a private Indian music concert 4. We come back to the shore & have a cup of tea & cookies locally sourced & made in the area. A lot of conversations by the river side follow *Bird watching only btw Nov-March Hosting all days -pls send us a msg for your choice of date & time

Delhi und Lodi-Gärten: ein Spaziergang durch die Geschichte
A popular tourist attraction, the Lodi Gardens are situated in one of the poshest areas of New Delhi. These gardens house monuments and tombs constructed roughly between 1400-1700 AD. Between this period innumerable tales and stories got associated with the Lodi Gardens that came to define Delhi and its various cities like Mehrauli (Qutub Minar area), Nizamuddin and Shahjahanabad (Old Delhi and the Red Fort area). This walk explores some of these stories. Who were the people who constructed these monuments? How did they and others that followed them saw these gardens? For this we will not only try to view the monuments and these gardens as architectural projects but try to marvel at the stories associated with them. We will be talking of tales left behind to us in the texts written by the people who saw these gardens being developed and constructed all more than 500 years old! These stories will take us on a history tour of Delhi over the ages - from the heyday of the Delhi Sultanate in particular, the rule of the Sayyid and the Lodi Dynasty from 1398-1525 AD and later to the Mughal Empire, British India and Post Independence period. This walk will also show that the different cities of Delhi were and still are in conversation with each other.

Eine Reise durch Indiens moderne Kunst
Come join me on a unique journey through Indian Modern Art. We shall begin our journey at the Gallery’s permanent collection which includes a chronological display of paintings from the 1800s till the present. The exhibition commences with a collection of oil paintings from the British colonial rule that progresses towards the establishment of art schools nationwide in the early 1900s. The journey sees the emergence of Indian modern artists learning and unlearning the colonial pedagogy and striving to form a style that was true to them and their motherland. View Indian modern art from a different perspective - a story of how India and her artists struggled to maintain a nationalistic as well as an individual stand in the world, coming up with their own unique styles of painting and sculpture. The National Gallery of Modern Art is a perfect amalgamation of these events in the history of the country, housing thoughts and stories behind what is now her revolutionary past. It's a highly personalized tour where we'll chat and figure out how we feel when we look at the artworks. If you're in for a little discussion I'm happy to do it over a cup of tea! Other things to note The guests should wear comfortable shoes & carry a water bottle. The tickets are to be purchased by the guests.
