Insgesamt ein toller Aufenthalt war, waren wir rund um das Haus bei der Ankunft begrüßt und gezeigt, war das Haus sauber und genau das, was es dargestellt wird, in den Bildern zu sein. sehr nah an Kneipen, Supermärkte und einem schönen Waldspaziergang. Würde jedem empfehlen für einen ruhigen, Spaß bekommen Wegschauen.

Fantastischer Aufenthalt im Trishs Lodge in Portumna. Die Lodge war schön und wirklich gut gelegen, zwei Minuten zu Fuß von den Geschäften und Pubs, aber immer noch eine fantastische Landschaft fühlen. Vielen Dank Trish!

Eine schöne Lodge, geräumige, malerische Umgebung in der Nähe von Wald, Yachthafen und der Stadt. Alle Einrichtungen, die Sie brauchen, schöne Schlafzimmer und schönes Wohnzimmer / Küche. Die Kommunikation war einfach und professionell mit Trish. Ich würde den Ort für die Zeit mit Familie und Freunden sehr empfehlen.

A beautiful lodge in a wonderful little town!

The house was very comfortable and spacious and fitted our party perfectly! The host was very helpful and very accommodating especially as we were very late arriving! The town of Portumna is a 5 minute walk from the house which is super handy and the Castle is even closer! A short drive away we were able to fish which the kids loved and there are lots of other places to see and things to do which we didn't have time for. Brimm castle was fabulous! Great base for discovering the area! Hi ge thank you to our hosts !

Good location for Portumna, clean lodge with plenty of room. Overall a good stay, would use again.

House was great. Clean and stocked with everything we needed, and an easy step into town for provisions. Loved that we could shut the door to the two bedrooms and bathroom downstairs and make it an idyllic kid free zone. The playground was closed because they were doing renovations which we thought was going to be problematic but it forced the kids to explore... and the old friary nearby became their playground instead... much nicer! The Marina, Castle, and Forest walk are all walking distance and the older kids enjoyed the Workhouse tour very much. Great stay in Portumna made better by Trish and her people who made us very welcome and were very very responsive to all questions.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in der schönen Hütte Patricia. Sehr Land gemütlich und ein perfekter Ort, aus der Welt zu Versteck und die Batterien wieder aufladen! Würde empfehlen!

Schöne einsame Scheune - perfekt für unseren Zwischenstopp. Alle der Küche, was man braucht und sehr gemütlich am Abend. Patricia war großartig und hat uns auf unsere eigenen Geräte.

Tolle Lage, absolute Ruhe und warme, einladende Umgebung. Abgeschieden, aber nicht zu weit von der Zivilisation. Paddys Bar für ein Pint vor einem Abendessen im Derg, Terryglass sehr empfehlen. Schöne Waldwanderung in Portumna. Ich wünschte, wir hätten länger bleiben können.

Die Scheune war eine Freude zu bleiben. Es hatte alles, was wir für unseren kurzen Aufenthalt benötigt, so viel Liebe zum Detail, Patricia offensichtlich sicher gerne machen, dass ihr Eigentum für die Gäste ist einladend.

Ho prenotato il posto di Rita per mio fratello, sorella-in-law e le loro 4 bambini di soggiorno per il fine settimana, come si vive nelle vicinanze. E 'un po' remota, ma perfetto se si vuole allontanarsi da tutto per qualche giorno e semplicemente rilassarsi e controllare le zone circostanti. I bambini erano felici quando hanno alzato e ha visto un pollo in giardino e poi avuto modo di incontrare cani e gatti di Rita troppo! C'è piaciuta molto le uova fresche per la colazione. Rita e la sua famiglia erano molto cordiale e disponibile ad aiutare con tutto che possono avere bisogno. Lo spazio di vita può essere un po 'piccola, quando la casa è piena, ma non è un problema se siete in giro in ogni caso ed è ancora confortevole e molto caldo con un buon riscaldamento e una stufa, se si desidera ottenere un fuoco. Le camere e bagno sono di buone dimensioni. Tutto sommato, hanno apprezzato molto il loro soggiorno qui.

I and my wife spend one night at Gina's place. It was easy to find the location and Gina was helpful in providing exact address. It is located in Portumna town walking distance from shops and pubs. We liked the apartments and the room we were staying in. It was nice and clean. It has a comfortable double bed. Gina gladly provided us with information on things to do in Portumna. I would definitely recommend this place to others and would stay here again next time I visit Portumna

Nous étions un groupe de 10 adultes et la maison est peut être un peu petite pour 10 adultes. En effet la table de la cuisine est un peu petite pour 10 adultes. Sinon la maison est très propre et Bill est très arrangeant, nous avons passé un agréable séjour.

If you are looking for a quiet holiday Portumna is the place to be but being an active family we needed to drive at least an hour to visit places of interest. House comfortably sleeps 10 just needs some TCL

This is a spacious 5 bedroom lodge with 3 bathrooms. It has a lovely decking area lapping around the property. Generally the property is a bit 'tired' but met all our needs. The property is close to the town with shops and pubs. Justin was on site to assist with any issues we had,

A beautiful country mansion in fantastic nature by the Lough. Lovely romantic apartment with beautiful lounge furniture, comfortable double bed and a reasonably appointed kitchen. Jenny was always mediately available for communication, check in was easy. The house is very old and both Jenny and Kieran are in the process of renovating and upgrading the huge property and once completed will be magnificent. Despite this, the apartment was very comfortable, clean and the shower powerful. The kitchen had a huge fridge for stocking up on food, there was a modern hob, microwave and a kettle which unfortunately had the wrong plug for the socket but we used a pan for boiling water for tea and coffee. We enjoyed having breakfast in the kitchen with light streaming through the window. The lounge is fabulously furnished with period type furniture and leather sofas, with an LED TV and local channels. Very comfortable for a night in. The grounds are massive and fun to explore and Kieran took us on a fascinating walk through a secret tunnel and around the grounds, giving us a historical account of the house and gardens. We also walked through the forest by the lake and ended up at the quay and completed the circle back to the house. The local village has 2 great pubs/restaurants with fabulous food. All in all a lovely relaxing stay in magnificent surroundings!

What a stunning property! The apartment is self contained within the country house and is exactly how it is in the photos. Beautifully finished, very comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen. Jenny and Kieran were very welcoming and great hosts. Jenny also invited us to see the main house which is beautiful and the views from of Lough Derg from the tower are stunning. We didn't get to enjoy the walks along Lough derg as the weather was not in our favour but will definitely be back again to try them.

This is a fantastic place to stay - one of the best in the Lough Derg area. The hosts were so welcoming, the room was perfect - hidden away in a courtyard, it was immaculate, had all the mod cons including a power shower and lovely thick carpet! I was met with fresh coffee and a great fruit plate in my room and lots of helpful information on things to do in the area. Terryglass is a haven for anyone wanting to walk in gorgeous countryside, amble by the lake to watch the boats coming and going, or like I did, cycle around the quiet roads enjoying the views down to the lake and over the fields. Added to all this, is the little village (only five minutes walk away) with two great pubs/restaurants, really friendly locals and lots of craic (Irish for fun)! I'll definitely be back...!

Das Dorf ist sehr schön und Terryglass ist ein guter Ort, um nach Westen Irlands zu erkunden. Obwohl Alan ist nicht in der Nähe des Hauses leben war dies kein Problem, denn er war immer bereit, jede Frage, die wir beantworten konnte. Perfekt.

Das Haus ist ein sehr zentralen Lage von vielen beliebten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Die Gastgeber waren sehr zuvorkommend und offen für Fragen, die meine erste Airbnb Aufenthalt zu einem echten Vergnügen gemacht. Ich würde einen Aufenthalt in Terryglass jedem empfehlen und würde auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten sie.

Ich und meine Freunde hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt im Alans Haus in Terryglass. Das Haus war wie beschrieben und hatte alles Wesentliche für unseren Aufenthalt. Wir hatten ein kleines Problem mit der Überschrift, als wir ankamen, aber Alan war sehr hilfsbereit und es war in kürzester Zeit sortiert. Ich würde gerne empfehlen Alan als Wirt.

Alan Haus ist fantastisch !! Es ist sehr komfortabel, schön und befindet sich in einem ruhigen Ort. Der Derg Inn Pub ist ein schönes Dorf Pub, ideal für den Anschluss ein Bier trinken und in Ruhe. Wir haben Live-Musik und Abend war köstlich. Wir nutzen das Haus als Alan Basislager für die Erkundung der Westküste von Irland: von der Connemara zum Ring of Kerry. Screwdriver Abend und der Vorbereitung Abendessen in der wunderbaren Küche. Obwohl wir nie sehen, Alan, sagen Sie uns, wo sie kaufen konnte, und obwohl wir sehr spät am ersten Tag, gab er uns Dinge, die ganze Zeit. Ein Genuss zu Hause und fantastischer Gastgeber. Sehr empfehlenswert !!!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in Alans hellen Haus, das nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Hafen und der lokalen Dorfzentrum ist. Headache Brunnenhaus wird nach einem alten Brunnen mit grünen Fleck in der Nähe benannt. Ein großer Genuss für Vogelliebhaber. Alan war sehr fürsorglich und hilfsbereit und organisierte sogar eine Angelrute für unsere Kinder und große lokale Beratung. Das Schloss ist ein Muss zu sehen. Probieren Sie die lokalen Pub und Gasthaus für exzellente Speisen und Getränke und wählen Sie Ihren Favoriten. Der Gastwirt ist besonders schön und hat gute Tipps für Familien mit Kindern, wie Birr Festival. Die Steaks in der Herberge gibt der preisgekrönten Qualität. Dank Alan für einen super Aufenthalt in Ihrem Haus.

Der Gastgeber war Super- reagiert, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam, er kontaktierte mich ein paar Mal für einige wirklich kleine Dinge nur sicher sein, wir wurden gut aufgenommen und war freundlich und sehr sympathisch. Das Haus ist sehr schön - in einer wunderschöner Lage und außergewöhnlich gut gepflegt und hat alles, was Sie für einen Familienbesuch beliebiger Dauer müssen. Die Nachbarschaft ist wunderbar, Terryglass ist ein super Land Dörfchen, schön und die Leute sind so freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Sommer Nachtleben ist fabelhaft und auf Familien (und Kinder) ausgerichtet haben eine große Zeit - nur eine Minute zu Fuß zu zwei Super Restaurants und Pubs und die Dorfladen und 3 Minuten zu Fuß zum Ufer des Sees und malerischen und lebhaften Yachthafen - Blasenbildung bei Familien Bootfahren, Touristen und Wasserskifahrer.

Auch wenn die Eigentümer wohnen weit weg von dieser Immobilie, ging alles glatt mit der Übernahme. Großes Haus für unsere vierköpfige Familie (vor allem große Schlafzimmer und Bad). Sauber und aufgeräumt. Terryglass ist nicht gerade ein großer Platz (zwei Pubs, das ist es!), So vorbereitet werden, um ein bisschen zu reisen, wenn Sie die Dinge sehen wollen. Aber ein guter Ausgangspunkt, um den Westen und Mitte Irlands zu erkunden.

Nous nous sommes sentis très bien accueillis. Les chambres étaient telles que décrites, propre et privé. Le personnel était très serviable et se sont rendus disponibles en cas de besoin. L'emplacement était très pratique attractions proches, pubs locaux, et un dépanneur dans toute la rue. Un parking privé a rendu la vie facile - juste devant notre porte. Nous avions un bébé avec nous et ils étaient accommodante.

We would highly recommend Riverrun Cottages and will book another stay as soon as we can. Mairead and her team work hard to deliver a really great standard of accommodation and hospitality, and exceed all expectations. We arrived to a spotless house, that was warm and welcoming. A fire was set in the hearth, we settled in immediately and enjoyed a delicious meal in Paddy's Bar that evening (and a number of subsequent evenings!) There are three cottages and a large main house at Riverrun, small and large groups can be accomodated. There is a bed and breakfast option aswell as self-catering. We booked a cruise on Lough Derg that was great fun too. Terryglass is a beautiful village that the locals must be very very proud of, and the team at Riverrun and Paddy's ensure that visitors such as ourselves are fortunate enough to pass a few days in this idyllic spot.

Upon arrival we were welcomed by our host and escorted to our accommodation. The cottage was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The surrounding area is very quaint and we felt very safe walking around and exploring. Paddys bar is an excellent base for food and drinks, in fact it would be easy to lose an afternoon in the bars comfortable surroundings. Overall, Riverrun House was a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind and we will definitely return in the near future

This was a very family friendly house to stay in. A good mix of bedrooms and bathrooms to suit our extended family stay. Our hosts Patricia and Sean had left a welcome package including homemade scones for our arrival. They ware most hospitable . I would recommend this house for a family holiday stay. The photos on the website do not do this house justice .

Belle maison, parfait pour une famille comme son très spacieux. Très bien équipé, tout ce qu'il fallait pour notre séjour. Avait arrangé pour rencontrer notre hôte pour ramasser les clés et il a été très bien organisé. L'emplacement est parfait et facile à trouver.

PROS: -Large house -Large yard -Walking distance to good pubs and the small town -Patricia left the kitchen stocked with basics and also left some fresh scones, which was nice. CONS: -Apparently this house is frequently rented to fishermen and is basically a fisherman's cottage. We found a small fishhook on the bathroom floor, which is unacceptable, especially when traveling with small children. -Sewage smell was strong throughout our one day stay, especially in the yard and upstairs. -NO WIFI. -House feels very old, with old furnishings throughout, and the walls are in need of some minor repairs. -No hand soap in bathrooms. Unless improvements are made, I can't recommend groups other than fishermen stay at this home.

Nice clean comfortable room in a nicely decorated older home. Cheerful grounds with places to sit and sheep grazing out back on green pasture. Tea in room. Nice breakfast toast and jam, French press coffee or tea, OJ, fresh fruit, cold cereal and milk, a boiled egg, ham and cheese. Hosts are lovely folks, very kind and helpful.

Sinead is a great host, the room & ensuite very nice & comfortable. I like her attention to detail. Loved sitting at the bay window reading my kindle. Bed very comfy, lovely fluffy towels & hot shower. Sinead dropped us to the paddy's pub, free taxi service home. Great two nits away. Will recommend Sinead to my friends

Highly recommended. A warm Irish welcome and a beautifully furnished spacious bedroom with en suite shower room. Sinead provided a well presented tasty healthy breakfast for us to enjoy at the dining table within the room. Very comfortable double bed. Would prove ideal for anyone with mobility difficulties being on the ground floor. If we are in this area we will certainly book again.

A little gem within walking distance (2km) of Terryglass village and gourmet pub "The Derg" where we enjoyed a lovely meal. Sinead offered great hospitality without being intrusive. The room is quite large, the bed is extremely comfortable with egyptian cotton bed linen and a quiet location. We enjoyed a lovely continental breakfast with a view of the garden from our bedroom window. Overall we had a lovely stay. Sineads place is truly an airbnb gem and we will be back
