Bridge
“The spectacular Pont du Gard is an ancient Roman aqueduct bridge built in the first century AD to carry water to the Roman colony of Nemausus. It crosses the Gardon River near the town of Vers-Pont-du-Gard. The Pont du Gard is the highest of all Roman aqueduct bridges, and one of the best preserved. Definitely worth a visit. ”

“If you come in Marseille you have to get there ! Notre dame de la Garde is a church dedicated to Marie which is on the top of a higher mount in Marseille. From a Christian site, it has become for all Marseille inhabitants, a kind of symbol of the city whatever religion they follow, if ever they follow one. Most important, from its foot you can see a panorama of all the city, it is really wonderful. You can get there by car, bus, touristic train, taxi , but remember that the last hundred meters have to be walked on foot and to make a wish once up there ! ”

“Alright, this is not the French Riviera anymore, it's about a 2 hour drive. But if your stay on the Riviera is long enough and you have time to go here, it's absolutely worth it. Basically, this place is a paradise for nature lovers. I go there several times every summer. Here's a non-exhaustive list of things that you can do here: 1) Kayak / Pedal boat in the Gorges du Verdon. This gorge is insanely beautiful but during peak summer, there are just way too many people and it degrades the experience. 2) Lavender fields. If you're thinking of particularly famous lavender field pictures, they were probably taken here, on the Plateau de Valensole, above the Sainte-Croix lake. But the period to see them starts from mid-June until mid-July. After mid-July, you won't see many of them. And none the rest of the year. 3) Moustiers-Sainte-Marie village. It's a very cute village which is on the list of the 150 most beautiful villages in France. 4) La route des crêtes, meaning the "Ridge road". This road is very impressive, and watch out if you're scared of heights! It's a loop that follows the cliffs of the Verdon gorge where there are world-renowned climbing spots. There are several breathtaking viewpoints along it.”

“The Cannes Film Festival is one of the most famous international festivals in the world, celebrating both art-house and mainstream cinema. Cannes comes alive every May when the most celebrated names in the film world descend on the city. Although the festival takes place all over town in every theatre, cinema and hotel, the main concentration is on its most famous street, La Croisette.”

“Old Nice, AKA "Vieux Nice" is the city’s vibrant old town, with narrow cobblestone streets and pastel-hued buildings where shops sell Niçoise soaps and Provençal textiles, plus meats and cheeses. A daily market on pedestrian street Cours Saleya offers produce and flowers, and busy pubs and outdoor eateries serving specialities like socca crepes dot the area. Leafy, hilltop Parc de la Colline du Château has grand city and sea views. A city of history, culture, art, creation, events, leisure, nature, and culinary flavours, Nice combines authentic charm with the conviviality of the Mediterranean by offering a host of activities and sites to visits. Take an opportunity to visit the 20th-century collections in Nice's great museums and galleries, which house prestigious collections with contributions from Matisse, Chagall or even the famous School of Nice. Not to be missed in Nice > Museums: Chagall, Matisse, MAMAC, Beaux-Arts, Arts Asiatiques, Arts Naïfs > Vieux-Nice (old city) : especially the flower market and baroque heritage > Promenade des Anglais > Castle hill Cimiez arenas > The Belle Epoque itinerary > The Russian church ”
