Lakeside accessible walks
This car park is between two lakes of Rydal and Grasmere. There are woodland trails including "miles without stiles" where buggies can go.
It is also possible to get the bus here from Staveley and do a linear walk to Ambleside, returning to Conifers via the bus.
Remember to bring swim/paddle kit.
White Moss Common station

Following the river to Elterwater is a "miles without stiles" path. Small kids can cycle and suitable for buggies. The path gets a little narrow after the lake, but continues past waterfalls to a cafe called "Chesters."
Recommend arriving early to get parked.
I've not swum in Elterwater, I've heard its full of reeds, but you can swim there.

Elterwater
Following the river to Elterwater is a "miles without stiles" path. Small kids can cycle and suitable for buggies. The path gets a little narrow after the lake, but continues past waterfalls to a cafe called "Chesters."
Recommend arriving early to get parked.

Or there is a good path from the head of the Langdale valley, heading up the hill through the Langdale National Trust Campsite.
Loads of overflow parking available in a field by The New Dungeon Ghyll. Single track road with passing places to drive here.

Quaint (but can get busy) village/town. Awesome playwark, shops and cafes. Lake access is 30 min walk from the village. Rowing boat hire available seasonally on the road to the lake.

Amazing spa with indoor and outdoor area for adults (or maybe over 16 years).
The twilight spa experience is the best value at £40 from 5pm-7pm. Bookings open on Fridays for the next 7 days. (Although every time I try to book this it is already full!)
Half spa days can be booked in advance through the website.

Hamlet with no amenities (nearest toilet staveley). Limited phone signal.
Small amount of parking by the Church and overflow field (£5 cash) on the way into the village.
Classic horseshoe walk starting and finishing in Kentmere. A full day walk with 1000m+ of climb and 12 miles + of walking.
Bring food, water, outdoor clothing, map, compass etc
4 mile cycle to the start of Kentmere from Staveley.
