Spacious A-Frame Getaway near Hiking and Wineries

Escape to our A-frame in the heart of the Shawangunks, nestled within the picturesque Hudson Valley. Just 1.5-2 hours from NYC, our spacious and serene home is perfect for a peaceful retreat, outdoor adventures, and exploring local wineries. Nearby attractions include Lake Minnewaska Park, Mohonk Preserve, Sam’s Point, the Shawangunk Wine Trail, Ellenville and Blue Cliff Monastery. The location also provides convenient access to explore many of the Hudson Valley and Catskill towns and villages.

The Waterfall Casita: A-frame with 30ft Waterfall

Nestled among Hemlock trees & steps from a 30 ft waterfall is our cozy A-frame cabin. Sitting on 33 private acres connected to state land, enjoy waterfall views while sipping coffee in front of the fireplace. The casita was intentionally designed to feel like a home away from home. In summer, cool off in the waterfalls & private streams, in autumn take in the stunning foliage & in winter ski/snowboard at Belleayre (25 mins away). Alder Lake & the Pepacton Reservoir fishing are a 10 min drive.

Daydream on our hammock or dine alfresco taking advantage of our barbeque. On a clear night, it is easy to stargaze up through the tall trees, perhaps while toasting marshmallows fireside.

Play air hockey in the attic or games or do a puzzle. Later, warm up by the wood stove, with a glass of wine or a book, get the chill out in the hot tub and see the stars or roast s'mores in the fire pit.

Located at the boundary of the towns of Gardiner and Shawangunk, beneath the beautiful Shawangunk ridge, there are plenty of adventures to be had! And when you tire of all the outdoor fun, check out local wine, cider, and whiskey tastings, antiques shopping, and delicious local restaurants.

Explore infinity under a blanket of stars and share stories gathered around the firepit. When you’re called inside, grab a book and settle in by the fireplace. Then cook a meal in our well-equipped kitchen or on the grill, and enjoy it on the patio overlooking the property.
