Mersea cottage - in a perfect location

The house has been owned by the same family for the last 40 years, it has been modernised over the years making it feel like a home from home. We feel that The Lane is arguably the best and most characterful location on the island. If you are a seafood enthusiast you couldn’t be better situated as The Company Shed is a 5 minute walk away. It’s walking distance to the beach and sea wall. The village 15 minute walk away with restaurants, cafes & shops. Bikes are a good way to get around the island

Entire home. close to Station Airport & Town

Warm and bright inviting accommodation. Sleeps up to 5. Centrally located. Close to the beautiful Priory Park and the stunning gardens including a 12th century Clunaic Monastery. Southend sea front with its longest pier and Adventure Island are less than a 10 minute drive. Southend Airport is one stop on the train. We love this area, not even a 5 minute walk to the train station with links to Liverpool Street Station and sightseeing in London. Would consider dogs if agreed prior to booking.

If you are in town for business or pleasure the house has everything you need. Location The house is centrally located on a quiet road around 0.4 miles walk to Chelmsford Train Station, Bus Station and Town Centre. The trains are regular every 8 – 10 minutes (incl to Stratford, London Liverpool St & the London Airports) so no need to panic!

Very spacious 1 bed en-suite cottage with off road parking and a small courtyard area. Formerly an Annex to the main house it is ideally situated for walking/hiking with easy access to the RSPB marshes of Cliffe. Beautiful views of the Kent countryside leading to Cooling Castle Barn, St Helens Church, Cliffe and St James church which inspired Charles Dickens to write Great Expectations where the hero Pip met Magwitch the convict. Easy car access to Historic Rochester Castle and Cathedral.

Located in the historic and picturesque Anchorage area of beautiful Mersea Island the house is in a quiet and tranquil lane, with the sea a moments distance away. 50 Yards at the end of the lane turn left for pubs and restaurants and turn right to find the sea wall, with opportunities for bird watching and scenic dog walks. The property sleeps 5/6 people and has an enclosed garden with seating and bbq, there is also a large lockable shed for any outdoor equipment.
