A unique river retreat for relaxing and viewing wildlife. We are minutes from extensive trails and about an hour from Lassen Park. Our house has fragile and antique components and is not suited for pets, groups or children. If you are ok with quirky, imperfect, au natural and "wild" (possibility of snakes and spiders) we have your place! With windows along most of the east side, you will almost always have a view of the Sacramento River. This is not a cookie cutter house—please read listing.

Mourning Dove Studio, a zen like (UPSTAIRS) room. Sleeps up to (2) adults, (no children), king bed, coffee, tea, oatmeal, bottled water (no ice). Clean bathroom w/towels. Only 1.5 miles from I-5, perfect for travelers wanting a safe place to rest. Hosts on site. We are unable to host any service animals/animals, due to allergies and serious health conditions. This guest-house cabin is nestled on our family’s 5 acres in the pine forests of the Sierra Nevadas. Only 3hrs from San Francisco, 2hrs from Sacramento, and 20min from Chico, come unplug in this newly remodeled space and enjoy a slice of authentic rural living. Recharge in solitude or get out-and-about to enjoy the countryside. There is nearby hiking, mountain biking, disc golf, & swimming. Also only about an hour drive to beautiful Lake Almanor and the amazing gem of Lassen National Park.

This cottage was completely remodeled in 2020. It sits on the back of our property and backs up to an orchard. The property is over an acre. It is quiet and peaceful. You will find fruit trees, grapes, a garden and chickens. The chickens roam the property during the day. You may hear a rooster in the AM. There is a covered patio and fire pit to enjoy the evenings in Chico. If you like to cook outdoors there is a gas BBQ & pellet grill/smoker. It is 1.8 miles from Chico State and Downtown.

Step up into the kitchen with full fridge/stove/microwave/dining table. Bathroom w deep tub/shower, washer/dryer. From living room, step down to enter bedroom with queen bed and vaulted ceilings. Additional fees 10% TOT tax and a new 2.5% tourism fee (BCTBID assessment) will be collected as of September 1st.

In the heart of historic downtown Oroville, Judge Gray's home (est. 1875), offers four suites (each w/ private bathroom and shower), kitchen, dining room, parlor, office & laundry. A couple or group of eight can enjoy the house while exploring the beauty and history of Butte County. Located 2 blocks from downtown’s unique restaurants, shops and the Feather River. One suite per guest (two guests maximum per suite.) Unbooked suites will be locked to keep the cleaning fee affordable.
