Our new glass-front Aframe cabin was completed in March of 2020. It’s modern appeal includes a master bedroom downstairs, a loft bedroom upstairs, and a sofa couch in the living area for a comfortable stay of 6 people. The unit also includes a beautiful wet room, clawfoot tub, wood pellet stove, kitchenette, and private deck. Set 6 feet off the forest floor, this naturally lit cabin has an especially enchanting canopy view of Resurrection Bay. Salted Roots Cabins offers 5 private nightly units.

NOTE: The kitchen/bathroom were remodeled May 2025. There is a stove top & a convection air fryer oven. Please note that this is a small kitchenette, not a full chef’s kitchen. If you require a larger cooking space, this is not the right fit for your needs. Please look elsewhere. This is a FAMILY HOME! We offer a clean & cozy private downstairs unit called the “Mt. Marathon Suite” that has a private entrance & is ATTACHED to the main house. Owners on property & happy to help w/all activities.

Salted Roots Yellow Door Bus

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Our Yellow Door Cabin is a converted 1970s retro bus, with a floating A-frame loft above. It is complete with a kitchenette and detached full bathroom, reading nook, a king bed downstairs, and a master king bedroom upstairs in the vaulted A-frame loft. With intimately crafted interior spaces, the Yellow Door cabin hosts a large outdoor covered deck, with a grill for spending more time outdoors. Salted Roots Cabins has 5 private nightly units.

Original Yurt Ecolodge Package #2

Stay at our wilderness ecolodge located in the Kenai Fjords! We offer oceanfront yurt lodging on our property that is surrounded by the Alaskan wilderness. Activities of sea kayaking and hiking are included! Our secluded location is accessible only by boat from Seward, Alaska. We provide boat transportation for all guests. The boat trip is about 40 minutes each way - look for wildlife like whales, otters, eagles, sea lions, and more! This entire experience is included in your nightly rate.

This is your experience at the Vessel Beach House! On the Port side, this one bedroom, one bathroom property with full kitchen, large living area, soaking tub, private balcony, dining area and breathtaking views, is perfect for a family adventure, romantic getaway, or a relaxing escape with friends.

Rustic Roots Forest Suite

NEW OWNERSHIP! CURRENTLY UNDERGOING INTERIOR RENOVATIONS! Rustic Roots offers 7 nightly units. Our Greenhouse Suites building has four water-view rooms, with a shared backyard deck, campfire ring, kitchen, picnic table & BBQ. Forest Suite is located on the second floor with a king bed in the main bedroom, plus a queen cabinet bed in the loft common area, a private en-suite bathroom, and a coffee bar. Perfect for groups of up to 4 (or small families).

A Cottage on the Bay

A cottage on the bay is a beach front house with 3 bedrooms, each looking out over Resurrection Bay. A well supplied kitchen and living room allow you to relax while watching the ocean and mountains. The large front deck expands into a sitting area with fire pit, looking over the beach. Stoke the cedar sauna and enjoy walks to the north and south while it warms up! The whales, sea lions, seals, otters and birds make this place truly unique.

Oceanfront Inn Cabin

The Oceanfront Inn Cabin is a cozy nook with a private covered deck, with two fire pits, one close to the deck, and the other is close to the water, and yard space that overlooks the lovely Resurrection Bay. Enjoy a BBQ, or cook indoors. Tonsina coastal hiking trail is minutes away, kayak and fishing charters can be purchased close by. This cabin is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families.
