Known as the Jewel of the Otways, Melba Gully is one of the wettest places in the state. The gully has prolific plant growth and is a dense rainforest of Myrtle Beech, Blackwood and Tree-ferns, with an understorey of low ferns and mosses. Perhaps the most unusual inhabitants of the area are the glow worms, which can be seen at night along the walking tracks.

A beautiful rain forest walk. By day, amazing, by night, there are glow worms. We even provide the torches for you to use.
This walk is a great combo to add lunch at The Perch at Laver's Hill then a walk through Melba Gully. The walk is a 30-minute circuit around with beautiful canopies of the rainforest with huge orange fungi and ferns surrounding. The walk is for all ages and very easy for the little ones to enjoy and explore.
