Deserted palace of Raipur Zamindar.Today Raipur palace stands in skeletal walls overgrown with weeds and haunted house look. It is about 4 KM away from main University town. Satyendra Prasanno Sinha, a subsequent zamindar of Raipur, was elevated to the peerage as Baron Sinha, of Raipur, in 1919, becoming the first Indian member of the British House of Lords at London. One can feel the story of old days when cooled air flows through the ruin of Raipur Palace which is actually the birthplace of an International university but counting its last days in absolute isolation.
