A bit further afield, Bon Ap' is my favourite place in Fitzroy to stop for a coffee and a pastry. The croissants are some of the best in Melbourne (made to be eaten, not photographed), and the coffee, of course, is excellent.

It’s French! What more could you want? They have an extensive menu and offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. And of course, cheese!
