A visit to The Lodge Forest Visitor Centre feels like you are miles from anywhere - but yet it is just a short walk from your cottage at Staball'ard.
The Lodge Forest Visitor Centre at Aberfoyle previously known as David Marshall Lodge, offers ranger led events, which occur throughout the year. These include guided walks and talks and seasonal activities for families and visitors. Outdoor playground and cafe. Fun for children.
Great place to see conversation in action. Cycle paths, walks, nature. Great for children
A wonderful place for a walk or to explore the country, although many of the tracks involve a good deal of up and down. Red squirrels steal the food from the bird feeders in the forest and there are great views south towards Glasgow. There is a very long zip slide (called Go Ape) and a good cafe/restaurant to relax in after your exertions. On a good day, there is outside seating with superb views.
