A great zoo where you can spend an hour or a whole day. Great for families or single visitors alike. This is a personal favorite. We are so proud of how much our zoo has grown over the past few years!

Explore the Abilene Zoo! Next, let’s take a tour of the Abilene Zoo. This place is just the right size for a day or afternoon outing. It’s one of my own kids’ favorite things to do in Abilene TX. What a fun chance to see their giant tongues come out and watch the kids look at them eye to eye and giggle with delight. The Abilene Zoo is larger than you’d expect and well-maintained. It’s definitely a must-see with a group of kids!

The zoo is a good stop if the weather is nice. If it's hot, there's a splash pad adjacent to the zoo, as well as a park.

Enjoy Abilene's giraffes! Great small town zoo for families that's not too overwhelming for a great family trip. This zoo has a great gift shop, carousel and train. We go all the time with young kids.
