Arizona Museum of Natural History exhibits displays related to the culture, habitat, and history of the Southwestern United States. It was founded in 1977 as a small museum in the Mesa City Hall, a historic building dating from 1937.

The Arizona Museum of Natural History has 3 stories to explore! In addition to a huge dinosaur exhibit the museum is home to a real territorial jail, and a recreation of the Lost Dutchman's Goldmine where you can pan for gold.
