Great hiking, kayaking, and boating - just about 30-60 minutes to the north up M-18!
North Higgins Lake State Park is located on the north shores of Higgins Lake, on the site of what was once considered the world’s largest seedling nursery. Located within the park’s 429 acres is the Civilian Conservation Corps Museum (CCC Museum), which documents the efforts “to put Americans back to work” after the Great Depression.
A bit quieter than the south state and still has great beach and swimming area, bike and walking trail.
