Within Point Nepean National Park, visit first settlement sites, experience open spaces and beach walks.

Great to visit on your way out to Fort Nepean. However the quarantine station is also used for market stalls. The Portsea Market is in a truly beautiful location. In the grounds of the historic Quarantine Station, the stalls are under and wind through the local vegetation - largely tea tree - and are just metres from the pristine Port Phillip Bay waters at the western end of the Mornington Peninsula.

Spend about half a day or more easily wondering through the buildings and reading some fascinating history of the first settlers. Great spot on the beach. Take a picnic or there is a café.

Lovely spot to walk, cycle and swim. You can drive in as far as Gunners cottage and there is also a bus shuttle service in summer. There is also an interesting museum.
