Though the Museum was founded in 1933, things really changed when Walter P. Chrysler, Jr. brought his collection of more than 10,000 works of art to Norfolk in 1971.

This is the best museum in Norfolk! Free parking and admission, but you are encouraged to give a donation. There's a variety of exhibitions with hundreds of works of art and historical pieces. 2 floors of nicely designed exhibits with diff themes. There's a very impressive glass collection, and you can even attend a glass studio demonstration - see the pro glass blower in action!

The Chrysler Museum of Art is an art museum on the border between downtown and the Ghent district of Norfolk, Virginia. The museum was founded in 1933 as the Norfolk Museum of Arts and Sciences. The Chrysler Museum has 50 galleries with 30000+ objects, an interactive space for kids and families, and an incredible glass studio. Admission is free.
