Nearby, welcoming local drovers’ inn the Stables with all its original character, has good food and a cosy woodburner. In good weather the spacious garden has great views of the Stiperstones

Bronwyn & Nat serve well kept beer and excellent pies (steak & Stilton is my favourite). It’s a beautiful traditional stone built pub with a big wood burner for cosy winter evenings. Opening times vary with the seasons and it’s usually best to give them call if you want to eat. They do Sunday lunch, too.
