Laid back, hard-to-book beach club popular with celebs and the yacht set. Sea access only. Reserve ahead.

If you have time during your trip, a visit to Da Adolfo should be high on your to-do list! Set in a beautiful beach cove that is only accessible by boat, Da Adolfo will pick you up from the wharf in Positano and drop you off again afterwards. Take your swim suit, there are also beach loungers you can relax on with a limoncello or white wine with peaches. It is EXTREMELY popular, so advance booking is essential!

Very simple beach restaurant, with excellent food and sunbeds on the tiny but beautiful beach below. Reached by boat from the port of Positano (look for the one with the red whale sign) if you have a reservation. Increasingly popular in the last years due to fantastic reviews in international magazines, so booking a table is virtually impossible, as they generally don't pick up the phone or answer emails. But you could always take a chance without a reservation and try to take the bus from Amalfi to Laurito (direction Sorrento) and walk the steps down, or take a water taxi from nearby Positano, it could at least work in spring or autumn.

Da Adolfo it's on Laurito beach, and hasn't changed much in the last 50 years or so, and that's part of what makes this place special. Over time it has become kind of a status symbol, a place to absolutely go if you're in Positano. Nowadays it's always packed with all kinds of people, from jet set to local families. The atmosphere is something that requires an open mind to be fully enjoyed. To go there you need a reservation, then you can catch the boat with the redfish that come and goes from the main beach! To reserve a table: +39 089 875022 If you can't get a reservation but really want to go, my advice is to try anyway, if they won't let you on the boat just say that you're willing to wait for the table. Maybe you will end up eating at 15:00, but in the meantime, you can enjoy the beach and the incredible atmosphere. You can also go in a boat taxi and hope for the best, otherwise, you can always come back to the main beach.
