The views from here are wonderful. A lovely walk though forest if you go left on your way up from the parking area or straight up to the open moorland and the beacon of you carry on up the hill. We love this walk

(25min drive) A wildlife haven with stunning views, particularly in the late summer when the bell-heather is in bloom. On the edge of the Blackdowns it has some of the most stunning views that inland Devon has to offer. Wild ponies can usually be seen here

Great walk upto the beacon. Only a 15 minute drive from the cabin. In the lovely village Culmstock with a great pub with good food or a splendid café selling delicious treats.
