It is simply spectacularly beautiful, pristine nature that, even in the busiest holiday season is just lively but not ever overcrowded. Bournda lagune is a great place for picnics and parties and safe place for children to swim with the ocean beach just a very short walk over the sand dune. Bournda Island where you have a chance to see dolphins, the resident seal or whales during the whale watching season is a short walk and a little skip over the channel. On 6 km bush walk around Bournda Lagune you will see a range of different landscapes such as rocky outcrops with stunning views along the coast, Teatree and Eucalyptus forrest and takes you past Bournda Island back to the start.

Head down Sapphire coast drive and turn left towards the sailing school at Wallagoot, keep going until you get to the coastal car park. Don't tell Leonardo that you've found his 'beach'.... If you can't muster the strength to do the 9km - then at least do the trek to 'boulder bay' and wonder why they called it that...
