The railway station is opposite The Old Post Office, its a great way to get around the area, leave your car in our carpark and go off and enjoy your day. You can go to Dartmouth and travel on a steam train. The train is coastal so has great views along the way.

There is a ferry that runs from here across to Exmouth, which has the longest sandy beach and esplanade in Devon (2 miles). The ferry runs every day between April and October. The Starcross to Exeter walk (7.2 miles) will take you along the Exe estuary with great views. There is an old lock that was built in 1560. The Turf Lock Hotel and Pub. A good place to stop for some refreshment.
