A typically overlooked gem in Midtown is the Laughing Skull Comedy club. You can sit down and eat traditional American comfort food at the eclectic Vortex Bar and see all the wild ornaments around the bar before you go to an exciting close packed comedy room that has hosted the greatest talents over the years. Just don't heckle ;)
