A magnificent example of how this prominant family lived. Around the corner is Lilau Square, a quaint little relaxing place to sit. The pink house belonged to our family and is heritage listed as are many buildings in Macau

This is my favourite place in Macau. This beautiful Chinese house used to be the residence of a late Qing scholar Zheng Guan Ying. Definitely worths a visit when you are in Macau.

Through his writings on economics, renowned author Zheng Guanying influenced Dr. Sun Yat-sen and Mao Tse Tung, and thus the course of Chinese history. In his home, a traditional Chinese-style compound (1869), visitors can see the influences of Macau's role as a global port and European colony on local life and traditional aesthetics, in details like Chinese latticed windows, Indian mother-of-pearl inlays, large French windows and Portuguese cobblestones. 鄭觀應是中國著名的作家，曾撰寫多篇有關經濟理論的文章，孫中山先生及毛澤東亦受到其作品啟發，因此他對中國的歷史進程有著深遠影響。他的故居是一座傳統中式大宅（建於1869年），當中糅合多種建築風格，如內院裡的中式窗棱、印度鑲珍珠母的裝飾、落地大窗及葡萄牙的鵝卵石，體現出澳門過去作為全球貿易港口及歐洲殖民地所擔當的角色，並從中了解到這歷史背景對當時日常生活及傳統美學的影響。 上午10時至下午6時（下午5時30分後停止入場，逢星期三休館，公眾假期除外） 澳門龍頭左巷10號
