With its powder-white sands, crystal clear waters, forests, woodlands and wetlands, parts of this south coast park seem untouched by people. Its Aboriginal heritage, however, goes back thousands of years and local Aboriginal people maintain strong connections with the land.
White sand beaches, cafes, restaurants (Huskisson, Vincentia), beach & bush walks, swimming, whale watching cruises, Botanic Gardens. Easy drive to Nowra for services.
Said to possess the whitest sand in the world, these beaches are truly something else. Approx 1 hour away, depending on holiday traffic.
Located on the northern shores of Jervis Bay, near Callala Bay, it's a lovely spot to combine bushwalking, birdwatching, beaches and picnicking. Enjoy unspoilt views of mangroves growing throughout the inlet, and spot birdlife amongst the forest and by the water. Winter is a great time to visit, when the weather is cooler, and the crowds are nowhere to be seen.
