Le Musee de F.P.C. or The Museum of Free People of Color documents free people of color of African descent before the Civil War. Louisiana, because of Spanish rule and laws, had a larger, more prosperous and skilled artisans and craftsmen F.P.C.. Le Musee de F.P.C is run in partnership with The George & Leah McKenna Museum of African American Art.
