The visitor center is a really nice place to have a picnic lunch and walk down the board walk to get stunning views of the Gorge and the New River Gorge Bridge

If you are interested in the history of the gorge, definitely check out the visitor center. There is also a short hike from here with a view of the bridge.

The New River Gorge is a national treasure that you're sure to enjoy. The Visitor's Center provides a good overview to the park, as well as many great views and historical information.
